About Us

What’s so special about B4 Disaster Management and Consulting Services?
We’re of the “old school”. We believe in personal, hands-on work and a sincere handshake at the end of a project. We won’t confuse you with meaningless acronyms—we’ll always give you up-front explanations. We recognize that as educators your expertise and first priority must be educating kids so we won’t try to make first responders out of you; but we will provide you with adequate information and supplies so that when needed, you and your staff will be prepared  and secure until the professionals arrive. We have firsthand knowledge of how school districts and schools operate. We understand school budgets, committees, and timelines.  We recognize the importance of working with the community, board members and parents.  We prefer working one-on-one with you as your program is designed and implemented to ensure each section is covered thoroughly and to each client’s satisfaction. Small or large, each project is important to us because your students are our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, or neighbors.  We’ve worked in districts with less than a thousand kids and in districts with more than 30,000.  Each receives the same attention and consideration.  Finally, we stick around.  Following implementation, we remain in contact by bringing up-dated information and products your way for consideration.

How is the B4 Disaster Management and Consulting Services emergency response system different than others?

We understand today’s school climates. We no longer live in a world where monthly fire drills and bi-annual earthquake drills are adequate. The reality is that while schools should be safe zones by students and their parents, more violence occurs which puts kids and staff at risk. Lockdowns and Shelter-In-Place have become common in many areas and the reasons are varied: bomb threats, intruders on campus, chemical spills, violence on or near campus. And now, the threat of terrorism looms dangerously close. Classrooms must become secure havens as teachers lock-in or shelter their students from danger. Schools are also threatened by natural disasters—wild fires, floods, earthquakes, severe weather--leaving many campuses vulnerable if students and staff are unable to evacuate. All things considered, B4 Disaster Management and consulting Services has designed a unique system.  It encompasses all that we know to be invaluable in the event of an emergency.

    • A plan

Our Emergency Response Plan is written simply because we know that school Emergency Managers are educators first!  Teams are formed to manage emergencies until professionals arrive.

    • Equipment and supplies

Supplies, equipment, and communication devices are made available in the classroom in unique packaging.  Long term supplies are stored on campus and inventoried according to teams.

    • A prepared staff

Uniformity (to response) is stressed; each staff member at each school is trained to follow the same directive and respond to the same signal throughout the district.
